Our Mission
SeniorDogGuide.com was created to help owners of aging dogs navigate one of the most important — and often confusing — chapters of pet ownership: the senior years. As dogs age, they face a whole new set of health, nutrition, mobility, and behavioral challenges that most general pet care sites only cover on the surface.
Our goal is simple: to give dog owners clear, practical, and genuinely useful information so they can make confident decisions about their aging dog’s care, in partnership with their veterinarian.
Who We Are
SeniorDogGuide.com is run by Khalid, a dog owner who started this project after watching his own dog begin to show the first signs of aging. At the time, he struggled to find clear, trustworthy information specifically about caring for an adult dog moving into its senior years — most resources online were either too general or too technical. That experience led him to create this site, dedicated to helping other owners going through the exact same situation feel more informed and less alone.
Our Approach to Content
Every article on this site is researched using current veterinary sources, including peer-reviewed studies, veterinary associations (such as the AVMA and AAHA), and established organizations focused on specific conditions (such as the International Renal Interest Society for kidney disease). Our content is written to be clear and practical for everyday dog owners — not overly technical, but always accurate.
Important: SeniorDogGuide.com is an independent educational resource. We are not a veterinary practice, and nothing on this site should be treated as a diagnosis or a substitute for professional veterinary care. We always encourage readers to consult their own veterinarian for any health concern about their dog. You can read more in our Terms and Conditions.
How This Site Is Supported
SeniorDogGuide.com is supported through advertising (Google AdSense) and affiliate commissions from product recommendations (including the Amazon Associates Program). This means that if you click certain links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This support allows us to keep creating free, in-depth content for dog owners. We only recommend products we believe are genuinely worth considering, and our editorial opinions are never for sale. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
